The book of Exodus exposes God’s PPP’s - presence, provision and protection of Israelites in the pagan land of Egypt and His deliverance from the bondage to an experience of freedom. Immigrant Israelites became disgraceful in Pharaoh’s eyes despite of the fact that Joseph was the one who with LORD’s instructions and his exceptional management skills helped the country during the famine season. As a result, Pharaoh did many dreadful acts to oppress and made Israelite’s lives miserable. Despite of all of the king’s plans, Israelites became exceedingly fruitful and numerous in Egypt. From them God raised Moses as their leader/deliverer and God beautifully executes His plan of His promise to Abraham. Satan’s plan was to wipe out God’s chosen people and thereby prevent birth of the Savior but God countered him executing His plan of deliverance.
Every murder and oppression is an attack from Satan to prevent God’s children calling upon the great “I AM”. Satan’s plots to oppose God’s plan of salvation is prevalent throughout the Bible, starting from Abel’s murder. In New Testament, we could see he trying to block crucifixion, the ultimate sacrifice per God’s plan. At this, they picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus hid himself, slipping away from the temple grounds (John 8:59).. Even today, he tries to block God’s plan of salvation attacking every believer/prospective believer through confusion, miseries, rulers, pleasure, science, music, movies……the list goes on.
Oppression does not last forever. There is sunrise after every night. God rejoices looking down on His children, faithfully living according to His plan and His will on earth until we experience the panorama of heaven. But we are living in a world full of turmoils, but that does not mean that He has forsaken us. He allows us to experience and deal with a bear and a lion before He makes us deal with a giant (1 Samuel 17:34-36).
Let me conclude with a verse of God’s promise for all of His children in Jesus’s own words.
“I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after your body has been killed, has authority to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him. Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows” Luke 12:4-8.
May God bless you all!
If God for us, who can be against us (Romans 8:31). The biggest proof that God is for us is our salvation. We are assured that if God has given His Son for us, He will shower His Grace and Providence on us. Thank you father for your unconditional love to us. Blessed message
